SMC relies on volunteers to help it run each week.
Opportunities for parents and carers include:
- opening up the venue
- taking the register
- running the tuck shop
- baking for concerts
- being part of the THAMES friends management committee
The young people also volunteer for some of these activities. This can be part of working towards the community service part of a Duke of Edinburgh Award, or simply to help ensure that SMC can continue to function benefit those who attend.
